First Milestone - Shimla
Life is too short for not taking vacations. Given the kind of schedules IT people have it is a blessing to be able to go on a few days of vacation. Shimla is very close to Chandigarh by road. We happened to take a flight till Chandigarh from where we started by Road to our Resort in Shimla- Kufri. This was a vacation that though was planned, the itinerary itself was not cast in stone. This made us flexible to move items around without being too adamant. With two kids that liberty should be there. Else it is impossible to set out on a road trip that lasts around 15 days or so. Shimla is actually an ideal destination during peak winters i.e. Late Dec to Early Jan here in India. Especially to see the snowfall which unlike anywhere else in the world we need to come to the hill stations to see.
